Audi A5 Sportback RS5 Refresh

IceTronix customer Ken came to us with his 2010 Audi A5 sportback. His car is a 2.0 TDi model with 170 bhp and the 6 speed manual gearbox. Ken's car was not a S-line model so it had the smallest bumpers on it and looked totally anonymous.
Ken already had the car lowered and 20" wheels when it came to us but it still needed some serious updating.
To start off we supplied a full plastic RS5 kit which includes full front bumper, RS5 side skirts, and the nicer full RS5 rear lip with carbon look diffuser.
We also supplied and fitted the really nice S5 bootlid lip spoiler. Our usual attention to detail shown through with us painting the customers original front grille Piano black to perfectly match the RS5 front bumper grilles.
When the kit was totally finished we then brought the car into the paint booth and completed a full polish and touch up on the A5 as although it was a really clean car, the paint had started to fade a bit. When we were finished polishing, the car
looked much better and we then vinyl wrapped the front grille surround and also
around the windows to get rid of the chrome. This makes a huge difference and the car looks sportier, newer and lower by doing this.
Next we moved onto the mechanical part of the job which was to remove Ken's troublesome DPF filter and cat. Our Exhaustworx division manufactured a stainless steel decat / DPF removal pipe and then manufactured an ExhaustWorx full stainless steel Duplex exhaust system. This system is 2.5" for power and Ken has wisely chosen 2 rear silencers to achieve a sporty but not over the top sound. We also modified the RS5 rear lip to accept twin 3.5" Slash cut tips either side which look absolutely fantastic.
When the Exhaustworx system was finished we got our good friend ( our recommended diesel tuner ) Joe Power ( to map the car.
Ken's car now pulls strongly from 2,000 -5,000 rpm and has in excess of 205bhp. In truth his car feels more like a 6 cylinder A5 now.
We finished Ken's A5 on the Saturday and that weekend Ken entered the car into the Carfest VAG show and won 1st place in the best Audi category!!
This a strong testament to the quality of our work, our attention to detail and our customer service levels :)
We are absolutely delighted for Ken too - couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Big shout out to our staff who did an absolutely brilliant job and also to Joe Power and Danny Fitz for their help with the build!
